These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of theQuizAI website at tryquizai.com, our Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by QuizAI ("QuizAI", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service and that they have reviewed these Terms on your behalf.
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under applicable law.
2. Description of the Service
QuizAI is a learning tool that helps you understand homework and quiz questions while you work on supported assignment pages. The Service can provide hints, step-by-step guidance, and explanations based on content read from the page you are viewing.
The Service is designed to support learning. It does not:
- Automatically submit answers or complete assignments on your behalf
- Guarantee correct answers or specific grades
- Replace instruction from your teacher, professor, or institution
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@tryquizai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your account information up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or your school's academic integrity policies
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as solely your own work where your institution prohibits such use
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its underlying systems
- Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures
- Share account credentials or resell access to the Service
- Upload or process content you do not have the right to use
- Use the Service to harass others or generate harmful, illegal, or infringing content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
Academic integrity: You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for complying with your school, instructor, and institution rules. QuizAI provides educational assistance; it does not endorse academic dishonesty. When in doubt, ask your instructor what tools are permitted.
5. Plans, billing, and subscriptions
Free plan
The Free plan includes a limited number of help requests per day (currently 30). We may change Free plan limits with reasonable notice posted on our website or in the Service.
Pro plan
The Pro plan is a recurring subscription (currently $9.99 per month) that provides additional features such as unlimited help requests, subject to fair use. Prices, features, and billing intervals are described on our Pricing page and may change with notice as described below.
Payment and renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Creem. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for applicable fees.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain Pro access until then. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
What counts as a help request
Each time you ask for a hint, step-by-step help, or full explanation on a question counts as one help request. Follow-up messages on the same question may also count toward your plan limits, as described in the Service.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by QuizAI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you submit through the Service. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. AI-generated content
Responses generated by the Service are produced by automated systems and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should verify important information and use your own judgment. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use any output from the Service before submitting work to an instructor or institution.
8. Third-party platforms
The Service may work alongside third-party learning platforms. Those platforms are not affiliated with QuizAI, and we do not control their terms, availability, or policies. Your use of third-party services remains subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUIZAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuizAI and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
13. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes to paid subscriptions will be communicated with reasonable advance notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable law.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you mandatory local protections, nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive by contract.
15. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and QuizAI regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
